Howdy campers and parents, and welcome back for the last day of camp! The morning started in typical fashion, with the flag ceremony. Horse campers helped to raise the flag and lead the pledge. Then, Ms. Alex taught the peppers the "Bowers's Bog" song!
In Garden Kitchen, campers had fun with fondue. They dipped bananas and graham crackers into chocolate. Some campers even did the chocolate vegetable challenge, in which they dipped spinach, tomatoes, and onions into chocolate! The recipe listed below is for the highly requested spinach pancakes from Tuesday.
In honor of the last day of camp, each pepper group got to choose an activity. This was a fun surprise for the last day, as every group did something different!
The green peppers did animal mazes. They used cardboard boxes to create a path, then lead chickens and Clover the rabbit through with carrot chips. The chickens made it all the way through the maze in record time!
The red peppers said their goodbyes to the goats. They took them for a run and watched them climb!
The orange peppers took this time to play with the parachute. They played sharks and minnows, cat and mouse, and built a giant bubble.
The yellow peppers went on a wagon ride with Ms. Michelle. They also took patches the pony for a hike through the fields. Campers also decided to decorate her mane with wildflowers. Patches has never looked better!
Campers ended the day with a giant game of capture the flag. The red and green peppers played the yellow and orange peppers. It was so much fun to be together and run around in the pasture!
Thank you all for another great camp year! We had such a blast and can't wait to see you all again. Until then, toodles!
