Happy Friday! I can't believe that another week of camp has come to an end. We celebrated the end of the week with lots of fun activities!
Our red peppers helped kick-off the day with the flag ceremony and pledges. With flags raised high, they led all the peppers through "Baby Shark" for the warm-up song!
Our peppers had a super busy morning after the flag ceremony. Before diving into the day's activities, each pepper group made sure that the chores were done and the animals were taken care of.
With chores complete, the pepper groups headed to the garden. The peppers continued to beautify the garden by spreading mulch and pulling weeds. However, there was still more produce to pick! Campers were able to harvest more raspberries, zucchini and peas.
After completing all the chores and garden work, it was time to dive into our water activities! Between the sponge relay and slip n' slide, our campers and staff had a blast while keeping cool in the summer heat
The fun activities continued after lunch with games and craft time! Since their goat milk soap was ready, peppers were able to wrap them and decorate the package before taking it home!
To put the cherry on top of this day, our campers made chocolate ice cream in Garden Kitchen! I wish I could have had some! The peppers had a great time making this by hand and enjoyed the tasty treat. Curious to see how they made it? Check out the recipe card below.
Today was our Farm Show where each pepper group performed a skit about what they learned at camp this week. Before parents arrived, each pepper group got in some last minute rehearsal time.
With their skits prepared and lines memorized, our campers put on a great show!
Our campers had a ton of fun this week and made lots of friends and memories along the way! I hope to see you all again soon!
Until next time!
