Farm on Foot Week 2 Day 2

Another day of camp has come and gone! We did a lot of fun stuff today and learned a lot about the farm!

We started the day off by decorating bug jugs for our bug exploration later in the day! The campers got so excited about all the stickers, hoping to make the most cozy atmosphere for their critters.

We also colored a poster that helped decorate for pick-up time!

Then, we took a walk out to the garden to harvest kale! While there, we decided to be super sneaky and harvest some raspberries and carrots too!

After bringing our harvest finds back to the classroom to wash, we read a hilarious story about a duck riding a bike.

Some of the farmers were making honey and they showed us how it works! It was so fun to watch - we even got to sample some with our morning snack! YUM!

We ate lunch inside, but we took a wagon ride to a buggy spot to use our bug jugs!

Then, we came back inside to wash chicken eggs. Our careful explorers did an amazing job.

To end our day, we made smoothies with the kale that we picked in the garden. What a fun day!
