Dairy Discovery Camp Week 2 Day 5

Welcome back for the last day of Dairy Discovery camp! The peppers kicked off the day with a flag ceremony. They also learned a new song lead by Ms. Jackie! Afterward, the yellow peppers headed to the garden to harvest produce for the farm stand. They picked kale, tomatoes, and raspberries. These will all be sold this afternoon for a dollar each.

The green peppers cared for the poultry by giving them fresh food and water. They also collected chicken and quail eggs and learned how to properly pick up a chicken.

Happy the pig was so happy to be out and about today. Campers took him on a walk all around the farm and used the boards to lead him in the right direction. They also noticed what he ate along the way.

Friday means one thing: ice cream! Campers made ice cream by filling a bag with milk, sugar, and vanilla into a larger bag with ice and salt. Then they shook it up until ice cream formed. If you want to make this at home, follow the recipe card below!

The peppers groups came together to play one giant game of capture the flag, and the rain did not stop them from giving it their all. It was so much fun to have the campers together for an epic battle!

What a great week! Thanks for joining us and we can't wait to see you all again. Ta-ta for now!
