A new group of Barnyard Buddies came to the farm this week for an amazing adventure! With beautiful weather, we were able to do and see so much on the farm.
We started off the day by welcoming all our campers and going over our C.A.R.E.S poster to ensure our campers have a safe and fun experience.
Then, we got straight to work visiting our animals! We saw the goats, sheep, llama, pigs, ponies, chickens, and turkeys! They were all so excited to meet the animals and were very adventurous in petting the animals and even milking the goat!
While out visiting our animals, we got to stop and see the hay loft, log cabin, farm house, and the farm cottage. Our campers got to meet Mr. Bowers who taught us about the Sycamore tree that is shedding its bark. Each of our campers got to take a piece of the bark home!
We did so much exploring that we worked up quite an appetite! We gathered our lunches and water bottles and climbed onto the wagon for a ride out to a shady picnic spot. We ate by the pumpkin patch and after lunch, we explored the pumpkins and collected rocks to help our pumpkins grow big and strong!
We finished our wagon ride back to the farm classroom and took a break inside to cool off and play before heading outside to enjoy some delicious fruit and veggie popsicles!
Even our wonderful volunteers cooled off with our sweet treat!
It was then time to say, “See you tomorrow!” to our amazing campers!
