After a restful weekend, a new group of campers has arrived at the farm for 5 Senses Camp!
After everyone arrived and played for a little bit, we headed outside to water the tomatoes, beans, and flowers growing in the raised beds. We even pulled out some weeds we found growing.
Then it was time for animal visits! We headed into the lower barn to meet the goats, llama, and the baby turkeys. After that, we made our way up to visit the potbelly pigs, the ponies, the bunny, and the chickens! We talked about the way the animals smelled, felt, and sounded.
We trekked back inside to get ready for lunch after our walk around the farm. We climbed onto the wagon and found a shady picnic spot for our feast.
Once everyone had full bellies, we finished our wagon ride and headed back to the classroom. From there, we took some crayons and paper and went outside to draw and find different textures around the farm.
Before having our special afternoon snack, we read two stories about different farm animals. Then we enjoyed some delicious popsicles before it was time to say goodbye!
